about
Effective Decmber 12, 2023, all money spent on this song will be donated directly to Anera in the effort towards humanitarian aid and relief in Gaza.
"Pariah" is a song that was written from a place of loneliness and fear, emergent from the dissolution of an abusive relationship, in which I was the abused, that I wish to speak no further on.
This was far and away the best song of the Closet Recordings "sessions," and it is a work I sat on for over a year before properly recording and releasing. It being my most popular work at the time (and at the time of writing this) drove my decision to donate all revenue from this track towards humanitarian relief in Gaza.
lyrics
A pariah
That wipes away your pain
When it stops and it takes out
Everything
Not a regret
Not a thing to remember
When it's cold in November
And nobody's keepin' you warm
Another thing that nobody
Remembered to mention
Was they had all the best of intentions
When they left your mind behind
Now you are regressin'
It's a backwards progression
You're like a parasite for sore eyes
You're like a parasite for sore eyes
There's nothin' wrong with Houston
You're just used to bein' used in
The worst way that I've ever seen
There's nothin' wrong with Houston
You're just used to bein' seen in a dream
Used to bein' seen in a dream
There's nothin' wrong with Houston
You're just used to bein' used in
The worst way that I've ever seen
There's nothin' wrong with Houston
You're just used to bein' seen in a dream
Used to bein' seen in a dream
